Welcome to J-Camp 2008
We invite you to spend a summer of fun at the Jewish Community Center of Rhode Island. For over 25 years, we have been providing exciting, enriching, and creative camp options for members and nonmembers alike. We are proud to offer a wide variety of summer activities to fit every age and interest!
J-Camp includes: Early Childhood camp for children ages 2 through 5, with a special program for those entering Kindergarten; a variety of camp options for kids entering grades 1 through 6; and, back by popular demand, a CIT (counselor-in-training) program for older kids entering grades 7 through 11.
The little kids camp program provides a safe, fun place for socialization for our youngest members. The big kids camp offers 9 weeks of base camp (a traditional camp with four elective choices each day), sports camps, and specialty camps. Our CIT program provides teens with an opportunity to develop essential leadership and communal skills.
Safety and security come first in all our camp settings. Full-time JCCRI professionals supervise our programs, providing ongoing security training for counselors, specialists, and head counselors throughout the summer. We offer excellent staff to camper ratios.
It is our goal to provide your child with a spectacular, meaningful summer. We offer extraordinary learning experiences with lots of fun, creative, and healthy activities while enabling the campers to build strong, enduring friendships. We look forward to seeing you this summer.
If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Some of your questions may be addressed in our general camp information.
